FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
One thing that stops us from stepping out of our comfort zone and trying new things is fear of the unknown.
Here are a few questions and common statements that I have heard before and answered for other clients who were once in your shoes...and considering a group photo shoot adventure.
I DON’T HAVE ANYONE TO ATTEND WITH!
You absolutely don’t need to bring anyone. You’ll have plenty of company when you arrive! Many women attend solo and leave with new friendships and genuine connections. These events are designed to be welcoming and supportive, so whether you come with a best friend or by yourself, you’ll feel part of something special from the very first hello.
WILL WE BE IN PUBLIC?
Sometimes, yes. Depending on the theme and location, we may shoot outdoors in public spaces beyond my studio. Your comfort always comes first, though. Any sessions involving lingerie or more intimate outfits are held in private or secluded areas. You’ll always know what to expect ahead of time, and I’ll ensure you feel completely comfortable, confident, and supported throughout the experience. Our weekend adventures are usually a 3+ drive away…and our one day events are within the area of Edmonton. Sometimes we stay ‘home’ and I host at my studio in Parkland County, AB.
DO I HAVE TO WEAR LINGERIE FOR THIS ADVENTURE?
Not at all! This is your celebration. You decide what confidence looks like. Some women choose lingerie, others wear dresses, cozy knits, or outfits that make them feel their best. The goal is to feel comfortable, confident, and authentically you.
I’M REALLY SHY IN FRONT OF THE CAMERA — WILL I FEEL AWKWARD?
You’re not alone in feeling that way! These sessions are designed for real women, not models. I’ll gently guide you through poses and help you relax into the experience. Most women say they start nervous and leave glowing with confidence. It’s all part of the magic. I’ve been told that making my clients feel comfortable is my super power!!
HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE IN A GROUP SHOOT?
Each event is kept intentionally small (usually 6–10 women) so it feels intimate and connected. Small groups mean everyone gets personalized attention, time in front of the camera, and plenty of space to celebrate themselves…and each other!
WHAT MAKES A GROUP SHOOT DIFFERENT FROM A REGULAR SESSION?
Group shoots combine the empowerment of a personal photo session with the energy and connection of community. It’s about celebrating yourself and the women beside you. Sharing laughter and love…stories and strength. The result? Fabulous photos and an incredible boost for your confidence and mental wellbeing.
WHAT IF I’M NOT FEELING CONFIDENT ENOUGH TO JOIN?
That’s exactly why you should come. Confidence isn’t a requirement…it’s something you’ll rediscover here. The courage to say YES gets you started…and the rest will follow. Surrounded by supportive women and encouragement, you’ll be reminded of your beauty, strength, and worth. By the end, you’ll see yourself (and feel yourself) in a whole new light.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?
I want to make sure that my clients don’t feel rushed (me neither)...so I don’t actually put a time limit on our day. Everyone’s comfort levels are different. Some ease into their experience easily and naturally, where as others need a little extra time to settle in. There’s no right or wrong and it takes as long as it takes. Having said that, it usually takes about 3-4 hours. Our adventures usually start at 11am.
WHEN WILL I GET TO SEE MY PICTURES?
Waiting to see your images can leave you feeling just as nervous as when you walked into the studio…but I can assure you that you will LOVE the pictures, and you will get to see them within the week. I usually schedule culling of the images on the Tuesday following the event, and they will be ready to view that day/week. You will view the images and choose your favourites via a video call (likely Google Meet). Images will then be finalized and delivered on the day of our call, providing that payment has been made in full.
WILL MY PICTURES BE AIRBRUSHED?
This experience is all about accepting and loving the wonderful woman that you already are. For that reason, I do not airbrush the photos. I want to keep them as natural as possible because I want you to see your beauty...your worth. Let’s be rebels and go against what society expects us to do. I will not remove tattoos or wrinkles or give you a tummy-tuck...or anything else of that nature. Just be you! If you have bruises, grazes or pimples...I will remove those since they are temporary. But anything that makes up who you are will be left as it is. If there is anything on your body that you are insecure about, we will have a conversation and decide how we are going to tackle it. Posing, lighting and outfits work wonders...and are way better than photoshop!
WILL MY PICTURES END UP ON THE INTERNET?
All photographs you see on my website and social media are clients (or ambassadors) who have given me signed consent to share their images. If you do not sign a photo release form, I do not use your images for anything, online or printed. Of course, I am always happy when I am given permission, because seeing ‘real women’ in my portfolio helps future clients say YES too! If you would rather keep your images private...I fully respect that. Since this is a group photo shoot, you will be asked if you are comfortable with me sharing the images.
