The definition of boudoir is >> capturing the raw and sensual beauty of a woman.
Originally (or for most), boudoir has been interpreted as being naked our wearing skimpy lingerie.
When one thinks of boudoir, we mostly think of capturing our sexiness…and for some, that can be an unachievable thought.
Boudoir is about who YOU are!
Capturing your raw beauty is about capturing every essence of you…whatever that might be.
Maybe that’s sexy lingerie and a pout…but maybe it’s a cosy cardigan and a smile. The outfit doesn’t really matter too much (you can choose to dress up or strip down). What matters is capturing your beauty from within. When that is done right, it’ll be seen on the outside too.
You may walk into my studio feeling like you can’t do this, but that courage that makes you say YES to this experience…it will let you explore who you are…it will allow you to have FUN…it will make you feel like you’re the only one in the room and the most beautiful person in the world.
I help a little with that too.
I guide you through every step and hold your hand (figuratively not literally, of course). I make sure you feel comfortable, which will eventually have you walking out of my studio with confidence and a huge smile!

Since this is your experience, you will customise your adventure to accommodate your own desires.
An experience with me does not have to mean boudoir OR branding…you can absolutely do both in one session.

BOUDOIR QUESTIONS
One thing that stops us from trying new things is fear of the unknown. So here are a few frequently asked questions and common statements that I have heard before and answered for other clients who were once in your shoes...and considering a photo shoot with me.
DO I HAVE TO WEAR LINGERIE FOR MY BOUDOIR EXPERIENCE?
Simply put...this is your photo shoot, so you can wear whatever you like. Maybe that’s sexy lingerie and a pout…but maybe it’s a cosy cardigan and a smile. You can be naked or fully dressed. As much as I encourage you to step outside of your comfort zone...I also want to make sure you feel comfortable. If that means keeping your clothes on...do that! We will work together to choose the outfits that are right for YOU!
I DON’T HAVE THE RIGHT BODY!
As you can see in the pictures all over my website, I have experience photographing women of all shapes and sizes, because there is beauty in every woman and every body deserves to be celebrated. We put far too much emphasis on our weight and clothing size, and I often hear “I need to lose 10lbs first”.
If you need to lose weight because of your health, then I support you, but your weight has absolutely nothing to do with your beauty. YOU are beautiful just as you are...and with the right outfits, posing and lighting, you will see that beauty!
I’M TOO OLD FOR BOUDOIR!
Absolutely not! Who put an age limit on beauty?!
If you love to have fun, go on adventures, celebrate and feel beautiful...this is for you...regardless of your age! I’ve always seen age as just a number and every number is worth a celebration...because we just never know when our time is up. Do whatever makes your heart happy...whenever that may be.
My oldest client so far was 90 years old. She didn’t do boudoir in the ‘typical’ lingerie way...but she did feel beautiful in the outfits that she chose for her milestone celebration. The majority of my clients are in their 50s or 60s and have LOVED every minute of this adventure.
